Solid Color Floor Coating | Polyaspartic System | Lakeside Garage Floors

Sometimes Less Is
the Statement.

A solid color floor doesn't compete with the space around it — it completes it. One uniform color, edge to edge, sealed under a high-solids polyaspartic topcoat. Clean, deliberate, and built to last just as long as anything else we install.

What It Is

The Floor That
Gets Out of the Way.

The solid color system is exactly what it sounds like — one uniform color applied across the entire prepared surface. No pattern, no variation, no broadcast. Just a clean, uninterrupted field of color sealed under a high-gloss, high-solids topcoat.

It's the finish that works when the floor is meant to complement the space, not command it. Contemporary interiors, modern garages, clean retail environments, minimalist basements — solid color makes the room look deliberate in a way that a speckled floor can't.

The durability is identical to our flake and metallic systems. Same diamond-grind prep, same polyaspartic base, same topcoat. The only difference is what's between those two layers — and in this case, it's nothing but color.

"A one-day floor often compromises on the most critical step: deep-penetration adhesion." With solid color, there's nowhere to hide — the surface is completely uniform, so the prep and application have to be right. We don't skip steps to make it happen faster.

The Process

How the Solid Color
Gets There.

Day 1 — Morning

We Grind the Floor

We don't just cover your floor — we grind it. Diamond grinders cut a profile into the concrete so the coating forms a permanent, molecular bond with the slab. This step is the same on every system we install. There's no shortcut around it.

01
Day 1 — Morning

Moisture Testing & Crack Repair

Most concrete has moisture. If we skip this step, the coating fails from underneath. We test, address it, fill every crack, and level every surface defect before anything else goes down — especially important on solid color, where the surface shows everything.

02
Day 1 — Afternoon

Solid Color Base Coat

The solid color polyaspartic base coat goes down in an even, controlled application wall to wall. No chips, no broadcast — just a uniform layer of color that bonds to the prepared slab. The floor cures overnight before we come back.

03
Day 2

The Topcoat That Makes It Last

We return the next day for the high-solids polyaspartic topcoat — the step most one-day companies skip. It's what protects the color underneath from hot-tire pickup, chemical spills, and Midwest temperature swings. You can't rush the cure time and get the same result.

Where It's Installed

Why Solid Color

The Case for
Keeping It Clean.

The Floor Becomes the Canvas

A solid color floor doesn't compete with the space — it defines the boundaries of it. In a clean garage, a finished basement, or a modern showroom, a uniform floor makes everything else in the room read cleaner.

Match Any Color Direction

There's no chip palette to choose from — just color. Any color you can specify, we can match. Coordinate with cabinets, walls, trim, or the exterior of the home. Bring us a paint chip or a hex code and we'll make it work.

UV Stable — Color Doesn't Drift

The polyaspartic topcoat is UV stable. The color you choose stays that color — it won't yellow, fade, or shift under direct sunlight the way epoxy-based solid color systems eventually do.

Non-Porous & Easy to Clean

The sealed surface doesn't absorb anything. Oil, water, paint, cleaning chemicals — they sit on top and wipe off. A solid color floor shows dirt more readily than flake, but cleans faster than any other surface in the space.

Same Durability as Every Other System

The finish is simpler. The durability isn't. Same diamond-grind prep, same high-solids topcoat — same resistance to hot-tire pickup, chemical spills, and the freeze-thaw cycles that destroy lesser coatings in the Midwest.

Makes Small Spaces Read Larger

A uniform floor with no pattern or variation visually expands a space — no busy texture breaking it up. Especially effective in basement rooms and smaller garages where the floor-to-wall transition matters.
