The metallic system uses metallic pigment suspended directly in the polyaspartic coating — not painted on top, not mixed in separately. It's part of the base itself. When that base coat goes down, we work it by hand with rollers and tools to create the movement, the swirl, and the pattern while the coating is still wet.
What you're seeing in a finished metallic floor isn't a print or a transfer. It's the result of how the coating was manipulated on that specific slab, on that specific day. Every decision made during the application — where the pigment pools, how the layers blend — gets locked in permanently by the topcoat.
It reads differently at different times of day as the light changes. Up close it has depth. From across the room it has movement. No photograph fully captures it — and no two floors will ever look exactly the same.

A one-day floor often compromises on the most critical step: deep-penetration adhesion. That's especially true with metallic — the pigment layer has to cure before the topcoat seals it.
How the Metallic
Gets There.
We Grind the Floor
Same as every system we install — we don't just cover the concrete, we grind it. Diamond grinders cut a profile into the slab so the coating forms a permanent, molecular bond with the concrete. Cracks get filled. Moisture gets tested. The slab has to be right before anything else happens.
Metallic Base Coat Down
The metallic pigment-infused base coat goes down across the prepped surface. This isn't paint — it's a high-solids polyaspartic with metallic particles suspended throughout the coating itself. The color and the shimmer are built into the system from the start.
Hand-Worked While Wet
While the base is still open, we work the coating by hand — rollers, brushes, and air — creating the swirl, the movement, and the depth that make metallic what it is. This is the step that can't be rushed and can't be replicated. Every floor comes out differently.
The Topcoat That Seals It
We come back the next day. The metallic layer has to be fully cured before the topcoat goes down — skip that cure time and you trap moisture in the pigment layer. The high-solids polyaspartic topcoat locks in the design permanently and protects it from hot-tire pickup, chemicals, and the Midwest's temperature swings.

UV Stable — Color Holds
The metallic pigments are sealed under a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. They won't fade, dull, or shift color over time — not in a sunny garage, not near windows, not outdoors.
Non-Porous Seal
Oil, coolant, water — the sealed surface doesn't absorb anything. Spills sit on top and wipe clean. The metallic layer underneath stays protected by the topcoat no matter what's on the surface.
